We are particularly interested in manuscripts that have been overlooked or turned away by traditional publishers, believing firmly in the potential of untold stories and unique perspectives.

We will announce submission windows and detailed guidelines periodically. Stay tuned for updates, and we look forward to partnering with authors whose voices deserve to be heard.

Land Shadows Reviews

Land Shadows was recently given one of the highest ratings from Kirkus Reviews! "Striegel is a vividly descriptive wordsmith. He viscerally depicts the stench and deprivation experienced by those travelling to America in steerage, the difficulties of city life as suffered by the underprivileged, and the beauty of the New Mexican territory." Read the full review here!

Land Shadows earned praise from Publishers Weekly’s BookLife as “a compelling appraisal of cultural heritage, belonging, and identity.” Through the parallel journeys of a Scottish orphan and a Potawatomi girl, Striegel “reveals the dark side of manifest destiny” and explores how cultural ties to land—and the cost of legacy—can shape generations.

Through captivating and compelling characters, Striegel brings the Old West back to life and lets readers view it through a new lens… Highly recommended for all history buffs, but also those who simply enjoy a great read.

—Ann Howard Creel, author of The magic of Ordinary Days and Mercy Road

Striegel’s historical novel Land Shadows takes the reader on a trip through 19th-century Scotland, New York, and finally to New Mexico.
